A lovely 10km route starting from the canal slipway across the road from the Barley Mow pub in Dogmersfield, and then heading towards Odiham.
Pretty much on trails for most of the route, just a few short sections on tarmac.
The seemingly ever-present overgrown bracken caused everyone to slow down for about 20 meters… but otherwise it was trotting across bone-dry fields of grass, tinder-dry stubble, and meandering through wooded paths and clearings.
Our resident horse-whisperer Lucie was deployed to fend off two excited (but lovely) horses who were most intrigued by a bunch of runners careering through their field.
