There are few better ways to spend a Saturday morning than good company, gentle trails and a proper coffee — and on Sunday 28th June we’re getting all three. Hart Road Runners are teaming up with our friends at Blackwater Valley Runners for a joint social run from the lovely village of Tilford, and everyone’s welcome.
We’ll meet at 0850 and start at 0900, with parking available either on Tilford Green (what3words: ///dictation.storeroom.sharp) or at Stockbridge Car Park (///hello.another.jumbo). Get there a little early if you fancy a pre-run caffeine hit — there’s excellent coffee and cake at Little Latte, or you can grab something from the Tilford Village Shop.
The route is just under 8 miles of classic Surrey countryside, with the highlight being a visit to the Devil’s Jumps — a striking trio of heathland hills steeped in local legend. This one’s a proper social: one group, social pace, looping back to the start, so there’s no pressure on speed and no chance of anyone being left behind. Expect to chat as much as you run.
Leading the way will be Nick S from HRR, joined by two leaders from Blackwater Valley Runners, so you’ll be in good hands throughout.
It promises to be a brilliant morning of running, scenery and friendship between the two clubs. Bring your trail shoes, your sense of adventure, and maybe a few quid for coffee. We’ll see you on Tilford Green!
