Race Report by Ros:
A small but determined group of HRR Runners took part in the Hurstbourne Tarrant 5 Mile, tackling a course that was as rewarding as it was demanding.
The bluebells in the woods were a welcome distraction from the challenging course which started with a long ascent up Hurstbourne Hill, on to a (thankfully) level route through Doles Wood and a short but extremely steep ascent back up Hurstbourne Hill to finish off everyone’s legs before the final mile.
It was a fantastically organised event in a beautiful setting, with food, drink and cakes on offer. Runners got to recover in the sunshine at the finish.
